The name Caney Fork came from all the wild cane (Bamboo) that grew along the
river. Fork is branch of another river. It is the Caney Fork of The
Cumberland River.

I would like to know how Jones Fork off of Indian Creek in DeKalb County got
its name. Tommy Webb and I have never been able to determine how it got its
name.
