believe they were relocated to make way for Center Hill Dam--not sure were they are resting now.

Tax rolls 1854-5 12th District,Putnam Co.,TN 75 cents poll tax.
1860 census--Putnam Co.,TN

Too young for War of 1812 and may have died before War of 1861. Thomas' father, George Smith may have been the George Smith who sent a protest when Matilda's father, John W. Puckett applied for a War of 1776 pension; he was granted the pension.

The Spring 2004 Upper cumberland Researcher has quite a few Smiths(33)mentioned in Jackson, Van Buren, Warren & White Co.,TN
