He was a native of Vernon Township, Trumbull, Ohio.
MEMORIAL SERVICE: 2 p.m. Saturday, Pinecrest Place, Largo, Fla.
GRAVESIDE INURNMENT SERVICE: 11 a.m. Saturday, March 9, Woodlawn Cemetery, Lima, Ohio
He died at home while under the care of Hospice. He moved to Florida in 1980 from Cincinnati, Ohio, where he retired as a Design Engineer working for both Cincinnati Milacron and Hydraulic Press Manufacturing Company. An active member of The United Methodist Church, Homer was a Registered Professional Engineer in Ohio, a Mason with the Millenium Lodge #779 F&AM in Dayton, Ohio.

Grady Dale Bates
ALEXANDRIA -- Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon, Jan. 25 at the New Hope Baptist Church for Mr. Bates, 66, of Alexandria.
Born in DeKalb County to the late Porter and Melissa Lorene Lamberson Bates, he died Jan. 25 at the Carthage General Hospital. Services were conducted by Rev. Ronnie Smith and Rev. Richard Buckner with burial at the Hillview Cemetery.
Survivors include: siblings Betty Cantrell and Helen Self of Smithville and Kenneth Bates, four nieces and two nephews.Hunter Funeral Home in Watertown was in charge.

Bernice Conger Sullivan,
Mrs. Bernice Conger Sullivan, widow of Connie C. Sullivan, of Lexington, TN, passed from this earth November 3, 2004 at her home. Family and friends attended her last hours. Funeral services will be held at Pafford Funeral Home in Lexington, TN, on Friday, November 5, 2004, at 1:30 p.m. Visitation will begin Wednesday November 3, 2004 at 6:00 p.m.
Mrs. Sullivan was born July 23, 1905, to Robert "Bob" and Lona Conger in Lexington, TN. She was preceded in death by her husband, Connie C. Sullivan and her brothers, Leon Conger, Dr. Pete Conger, and Dr. Hubert Conger.
Mrs. Sullivan was active in church and community. She taught Sunday School for 50 plus years, retiring at 90 years of age. At her death she was the oldest and longest serving member of First Baptist Church of Lexington, TN.
Mrs. Sullivan is survived by her three children and their families. Connie Lou (late Ollie D.) Holmes, Robbie J. (Bill) Harris, and Dr. John Hugh (Pam) Sullivan. There are eight grandchildren, Lona Carol Pierce, Jim Harris, David Holmes, Ed Harris, Johnny Sullivan, Kelly Blue Franklin, Connie Leigh Sullivan and Mason Cliff Sullivan, and five great-grandchildren, Dr. Hillary W. Grissom, Sunnie W. Dickson, Stephen Williams, Megan Harris and "Trip" Sullivan. She is survived by one brother, Danny Conger of Smithville, TN, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Pallbearers will be her six grandsons. She will be lovingly remembered by all who knew her. "f+iTo God Be The Glory"

James "Gus" Evans,
Funeral services for James "Gus" Evans, age 70, will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, February 9th from the South Chapel of George A. Smith and Sons. Burial will follow at Highland Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Evans died Sunday, February 5, 2006 at Northbrooke Health Care Center in Jackson following an extended illness.
He was born in Gadsden, Tennessee on January 7, 1936 the son of the late J. T. and Nova Hope Williams Evans and was retired from the construction industry as a heavy equipment operator.
He is survived by four daughters, Amy Love and husband Randy, Vickie Haynes and husband Robert of Jackson, TN; Charlotte Concialdi and husband Jimmy of Henderson, TN and by April Robertson of Savannah, TN; three sons, James "Frog" Evans, Jr. of Jackson, David Evans of Pinson and Chris Evans of Jackson, TN; two sisters, Sylvia Meggs of Saltillo, TN and Wanda Evans of Jackson, TN; eleven grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Mr. Evans was preceded in death by a daughter, Lisa Evans Coffman and by a sister, Mae Evelyn Turner.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 8th from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
