THe Female MDNA is totally unreliable in my opinion. The Hatcher DNA of Hurricane Creek, Humphreys Co. is an exact match to The descendants of William Hatcher whose first lands were on Wards Creek as he bought them from the WIdow of Capt. John Ward ( Warde) His next purchase of lands was from the widow Box ( WHose same Family Tree descendants are in Humphreys Co thru one Moses Box)

We use FTDNA testing for Male descendants of Johnson-Johnston-Johnstone-Jonsen etc on it various spellings. WE have 15 different DNA Johnson's coming out of the VA-NC-GA-TN-Texas Groups that have been tested.

We use the following method of research : "TO KNOW YOUR NEIGHBOR IS TO KNOW YOUR KINSMAN" WE start with the Creek, Mountain, Waterway that the families lived on and build out and back from there. THe reason is families traveled in CLANS they stayed in their Social Groups. THey went off to War in them, THey moved with them and then re married into these same groups ( CLANS)

I Would suggest you go to the Hatcher FAmily WEb site ran my NEL HATCHER to find out more on your Hatcher familes as I do not recgonize this group of Hatcher, I will send this on to My Cousin John L. Hatcher to see if he knows more about this line of Hatcher as he is the best source for the Humphreys Co. Hatchers.

I beleive the David Robertson below is the same family tree as General James Randolph RObertson. Please remember when doing research ever County has a Parent COunty and lots of these waterways are in the Original COunty CHeatham COunty is currently I think on the Border of WHite Oak Creek, which was at one time in DIckson and I think is still partially in Humphreys Co.: Reason Cheatham County was part of Montgomery and RObertson Co. which included DIckson County and Humphreys County at one time.

The Waterways of Old were the gIghways that we have today. Everyone back then traveled along waterways and their water coarses to travel. Lots of Researchers fail to look at the dividing points between County Lines and the Time Era's of Formation. As Creeks, Rivers and Tops of Mountians were the area's were COunty lines were set. Families were only seperated by being on one side of a Creek, ususally one that could be waded accross.
