Hi Vicki
Well I did Transcribe the records that I sent you , and they will come in
the attachment.The family that I got them from
is on Barbara Ann Elder Pipes she lives in Trumann Ar she grew up in Lake
City Ar about 2 hours from Trenton
with what I read it looks as though her Benjamin A. Elder Sr. and comes from
him down , he married a Ms. M. J. Higden
on Nov. 27, 1866 he died and she remarried. I have seen on the
www.familysearch.com site that they have a
Benjamin A. Elder that married a M. J. Hegden on Nov. 20,1866 in Rutherford
Co.I am not quite sure how all this fits yet or if it does connect to my
family but my family was in the same area as hers My third great grandmother
was Sarah D. Elder Scrape and she was the daughter of William Elder and Mary
Towler Elder., and Mary Elder is buried in Oakland Cemetery
In Trenton Mary's parents were Benjamin Towler and Martha Darby, Benjamin
Towler served in the Virginia Line during the
American Revolution. Many of my relatives are buried in Oakland Cemetery.My
third great grandfathers home still stands on
High Street it is now called the Neil House. I do hope to make all the right
connections with this information , maybe it will
help someone else in the process. my fifth great grandfather's will is
listed in Bonds and Wills in Gibson Co. Jan. 1824- Sept 1846 Vol B. pages
241-242 it is the will of Benjamin Towler and on page 239 that list
Benjamin Elder as Ex of his will
with James D. Scrape and Lewis Wade Sec. July 1838. Is there anyone there
that might do a look up for me that I might
get a copy of these doc. I do appreciate any help at all.
