Jesse Sturdivant of Gibson Co., TN was my g-grandfather, his son, Jessa A. Sturdivant was my grandfather. Jesse Sr.'s wife was Mary Elizabeth Smith, sister to Susan C. Smith, so Susan was Jesse's sister-in-law. Their parents were William and Elizabeth Smith who lived nearby. I haven't been working on my Smith line for very long, so that's about all I've figured out so far. Ellen Sturdivant Stockstill
