My wife's grandfather was Hugh King Thompson, b May 1852, m 27 Aug 1875
Giles Co to Mary Elizabeth Hewitt.

I've often wondered if there was a King surname in Thompson's ancestry,
since it was often the custom back then to use a maiden name that way.

If anyone has a link between the King family and the Thompson family I
would very much like to hear of it.
