Dear Mignonette,

Nancy Jane BAULCH married George Dickey HILLHOUSE Jr. on 26 Dec 1867 in
Lawrence County, TN. She was the daughter of Martha POWELL and James W.
Baulch. Her siblings included: Austin M., Emily C., Sophronia N., Paulina
C., and Joseph B.

In addition, a Martha Jane BAULCH married George W. HENDRIX. And Ruth
BALCH married Billy Joe MASHBURN.

Do any of those fit with who you are looking for?

Pulaski and Minor Hill) married Nathan Anderson Warren (1842-1906)-I am
seeking to confirm her lineage.

I think the following is true..but I have not PROVED it:

John Baulch/Balch (died ca 1820 Giles Co, TN md 24 Jul 1806 in Wayne Co, KY,
Nancy Bassham. Nancy born ca 1789, VA and died after 1850. She was the dau
of Archibald Bassham and Winna Johns/Jons

Wendell Balch, of Lexington, AL gave me marriage dates, suppos to have come
from a family Bible that no longer exists. Giles Co TN 1825-1827 Estate of
John Balch was grantged to Nancy Balch. Nancy married (2.Cpt Benjamin White,
a man quite her senior.) 1850 Giles Co, TN census - Nancy living w/son
Samuel H. Balch (I have partial listing of children:

1. James Washington Balch, b. ca 1815, married Martha Powell, 24 Nov 1838,
Giles Co, TN.(This is Wendell Balch, Lexington, AL line)
2. Samuel H. Balch, b. ca 1822, TN, md (1) Minerva C. (2) Martha M. Renfro,
20 Aug 1858, Lawrence Co, TN
3. Archibald Balch, m. 25 Apr 1838 Susan Powell (I have no proof here.)NOTE:
1860 Giles Co Census - Eliza (Louiza) living with bro. Hiram F. Balch and his
family (HH1328), HH1316 shows John B. Balch living w/Samuel Hammonds family.
HH1313 Henry J. Warren w/Nathan still home (Louiza married Nathan) Dec 1847,
Giles Co - Joseph Powell guardian of minor heirs of Archibald Balch, decd,
has failed to renew his bond so new guardian to be appointed-ordered that JAS
W> BAULCH be appoint guardian of Hiram of NANCY JANE, JOHN M. and Laura Ann
(mwk note: this is Louiza Ann) Baulch, minor orphans Archibald Baulch, dec'd.
THIS IS MY LINE WHICH I AM TRYING TO CONFIRM. Sue Davis (Giles co researcher)
and I think that Archibald Baulch is the son of John Baulch and Nancy
Bassham..but need to prove it.
4. Patsy Balch, b. ca 1824
5. Caroline Balch, b. ca 1826
6. Tempy Balch, md John M. Shields

Children of Archibald Balch and Susan Powell, md 25 Apr 1838:
1. Nancy Jane Balch, b. ca 1834
2. Hiram F. Balch, b. ca 1835, md 99 Nov 1854, Lawrence Co, TN Mary AB Gaint
(Mary died ca 1862)
3. John M. Balch, b. ca 1837
4. Louiza Ann Balch, b. 18Nov 1842, TN m. Nathan Anderson Warren, (1842-1906)
both buried Oak Grove Cem, Giles Co TN (My great grandparents)
Have you seen any of the above names in your Baulch/Balch research?
Any help much appreciate..
