I have a William Boswell born 30 Oct 1807 in NC who had a son named I. Boswell. Don't know his first name but he was born in 1832. Could this be your Ishmael? They were living in Wayne Co, IL in the 1850's. William d 23 Jul 1887 in Wayne Co, IL and is buried in Farnsworth (Mt. Zion) Cemetery, Wayne Co, IL There were quite a few Boswells buried in cemeteries around Wayne Co, IL and Jefferson Co, IL that migrated from NC and TN.
