Rivers' Manuscripts, note that many documents found by Mr. Rivers located
in bins above the filing cabinets in the Giles County Court Records office
long ago, have the following notation;

On Thursday, February 19, 1829, Andrew Ballentine, aged 31 years, declared
intention of becoming an American citizen. He had landed in Philadelphia,
July 30, 1816, was born in Parish Bodoway, Tyrone County, Ireland.

Surely there can be found his naturalization papers there shortly after he
filed his intention for those interested.

I note that the Tucker family who lived in LCT in early to mid 1820's
intermarried into the Ballentine family.
