Seeking Greene County information on ggg grandfather Henry H HANSELL (HANSEL) who married Susan A PRATT [John Henry PRATT/Nancy CARTER (Jesse CARTER/Susanna (Castle) HARMON)] abt. 1839 in Greene County, Tennessee. This Henry HANSELL was born abt. 1805 in North Carolina. I have lookups for two marriages for Henry HANSEL in Lincoln County, N.C. in 1827. The brides are Jane COBLE and Mary HANSEL. It is my theory that these are two different men who are possibly cousins. The Henry Hansell who married Mary possibly married the sister of the other Henry. I am fairly certain that the one who married Mary HANSEL is the man who migrated to and lived out his life in Jefferson County, Tennessee. HENRY Hansell, who married Jane COBLE, if a different man, may have migrated shortly thereafter to Greene County. I notice that there are COBBLE families listed in the 1830 census and possibly there is a relationship. Henry and Susan, shortly after marriage, seemed to have migrated to Crawford Co!
unty, Missouri with or to join PRATT, CARTER and HARMON families. Does anyone have knowledge of this man, of records on this man in Greene County or of what records in Greene County might be pertinent to consult?
