I am looking for information on John Alexander born near Baileyton, Greene County, Tn. on Aug 20, 1822 and orophaned approx age 2 yrs. He was raised by Henry and Mary (Polly) Monteith. John first married Nancy M. shanks day of Nicolas and Rosiena Graham Shanks on Oct. 18, 1842 and they had Joshua, Sharah Elizabeth, and David.

Second marriage to Elizabeth Ann Stokes Knight on Sep. 7, 1854 they had Nancy M. , Danial Boone, Jessie Isbell and Henry E Alexander.

I am looking for any information on this line, but expecially need the name of his parents who died when he was only 2 years old possible in an influensa outbreak.
