Yes, I'm up for a chat on the Brittons. I too would very much like to find
the ancestors of my line of Brittons as well.
My Brittons were in Jefferson & Hamblen Counties Tennessee -- I believe,
however, they're somehow related to those in Greene Co. TN. My Line is as
follows:

Andrew Britton b. 1790/1800 TN d aft 1830 Jefferson Co. TN
m. Nancy Martin 6 Dec 1816 Greene Co. TN

Allen Britton b. abt 1819 TN d. aft 1880 Hamblen Co. TN m. Mary Ann Cullent
24 Sep 1844 Jefferson Co. TN

Samuel Thomas S. Britton b. Aug 1858 Jefferson, TN d. abt 1920 Hamblen, TN m.
Minnie Marshall 13 Mar 1887 Jefferson, TN

Lida Josephine Britton b. 5 May 1897 Hamblen TN, d. 4 Mar 1851 Greene TN m.
George W. Ashley 5 Sep 1913 Hamblen TN

All these families crossed over back and forth from Jefferson, Hamblen and
Greene Co. TN. My grandparents Lida and George Ashley lived in Greene Co.
for most of their married lives, with the exception of a short trip to Kansas
where they thought they would live forever, but returned home to Tennessee
when things weren't going well for them.

I would very much like to find the parents of Andrew Britton and know where
the family originated from to begin with.
