Hi Bob,
You're right, according to Harry B. Roberts. Quaker Knob and New Hope are
the same. From the description in his book, it is suppose to be located
"about one mile north of Rheatown, on Sinking Creek".

Mr. Roberts' book goes on to tell about the early Quakers, in particular the
Marshall family. A Captain J.J. Marshall (B. 1865) was interested in the
Quaker Knob area and Rheatown, his ancestoral home. So the person looking
that was looking for Thomas Marshall might want to check to see if J.J.
Marshall wrote any of his historical notes down somewhere. Perhaps the
Greene County Library might have something in thier "Tennessee Room." It's
a shame, I've been back here for about 5 months and haven't had a chance to
get to the library yet. :sigh:
