Hello Everyone,
My name is Dan Fulghum. I live just north of Houston, Texas. I'm
researching the Fulghum and McKinnie families, primarily in the early to mid
1800s. My Great-Great-Great-Grandfather was Arthur Fulghum, who moved to
Hardeman County after leaving Wayne County, North Carolina, and spending
some time in Williamson County. He later was the first Fulghum to settle in
the Republic of Texas (circa 1839). My Great-Great-Grandfather, William
McKinnie Wilson Fulghum, and my Great-Grandfather, Julius Ebenezer Fulghum,
were born in Hardeman County. Julius later moved to Gibson County,
Tennessee. We are also related to the Sharps of McNairy County, Tennessee,
and Corinth, Alcorn County, Mississippi. Through our Sharp line, we are
also related to the McKee and Chambers families of McNairy County,
Tennessee.
