> I am looking for information on James JOHNSON born about 1780 (don't know
where) died about 1860 in Hawkins Co, but don't know where he's buried. He
married Mary Ann or Polly ? (have no other information on her). They had two
sons that I know of: Walter JOHNSON born 8 May 1805 in Hawkins Co, died 13
Dec 1876 in Greenbush, Warren Co, IL; and Absolum JOHNSON (have no other
information on him). According to a biography written on Walter, James owned
a plantation in Carter Valley, TN and died during the Civil War. I do have
information on Walter's and his decendents, but would appreciate any
information on James, Mary Ann/Polly and Absolum.
