I am trying to find out if William Bowers and his wife, Betty Hudson, lived
in Humphreys County in the early 1800's. I know that they were still in
Mecklenburg County, VA in 1802 because their son, William was born in VA in 1802,
according to the 1850 census.
Perhaps someone else is researching this family. I know that Betty Hudson's
family removed to Dickson County after the American Revolution and I feel
that she and her husband went there, too. On the query page of this county, I
see that someone was also looking for this family back in 1999. That e-mail
doesn't work now.
Here is what I know and my sources are footnoted and listed at the end.
Thank you,
Judith K. Arthur
