you have filled in several gaps including his civil war service.
john landron was john e.'s fatherfyi----john e. must have been quite a money maker(he also believed in spending and not passing it down) as ever place he lived he opened ever thing from cotton gins in north east texas to a large farm in far south texas , a farm and a town, and road named for him outside barbers hill in south east texas, with a son and son in law had a store and a dray service at the 1901 spindle top oil boom and he along with most of his family were lving in the hatcherville area(hatcherville is about 10/15 miles from trinity bay and about 30? miles from galveston) during the 1900 galveston storm.
i am compiling information on the hatcher and hoopers( of humphreys county) so that i can start a web page for the "HATCHERS OF TEXAS'.
