Hi everyone,

The Lawrence County Archives is planning to close for one (1) day to
work on the new records we recently acquired from the courthouse
basement. The day we have picked is Thursday, August 16, 2001.

If you live out of Lawrence County or surrounding counties and are
planning a trip for research that day, please email the archives as soon
as possible to see if we can change the day we are closed. We do not
like having to close, because of the inconvenience it will cause for
researchers. But, periodic closings are the only way our staff will
ever be able to inventory and organize these records.
