Francis,
I find some interest in your letter forwarded to TNLINCOL-L email
group. I noticed you had a HALL (Polly) listed. I may be able to help. Not
sure. Your mention suggested census records or other. If census, please
give me the page numbers. There is a chance I may be able to tie your
WHEELER family with a local HALL family. Remember, many families traveled
together.
TO LIST MEMBERS,
Always copy two to three pages in both directions from your research
person. Chances are that a family member is listed. Abeit, a different
surname. This often saves a lot of time going back and forth to a research
center. A few dimes spent is a lot of dollars saved. Of course the learned
researcher learned this the hard way.
One other note, ALWAYS copy ALL indexed census books for a surname in
the State you are researching. To shorten my saying, "Dimes spent, Dollars
saved."
