Gladys:
Please tell me all that you can on these LCT folks named Couch in your data
base??
I have a Methela Couch only seen spelled as Crouch who had a brother living
with them in Centre, p.o. of Cherokee Co., AL on the 1860 US Census. She
was married to Hezikiah Allen Cockrum/Cothrun

Her brother was listed as Joseph G. Couch on the 1850 Census of that area
Reel #432-3 ? Dist. 26th. p. 31 dwelling # 408 family #408 family of
H. H. Cothran which is a mistake it should read H. A. Cothran instead as
this is the same family.

Joseph is listed as a Tailor and age 22 b. TN on this Census.

H.A. Cothran's family is right up the road #404 on p. 30

Mary Cothran age 52 female white b. SC Widow of William.

(Mary was the daughter of George Spillers of Greenville Dist. SC. She went
by the name of Polly. I have a copy of the will of Mr. Spillers.
Mary had a sister named Bethaney Spillers and she had named a daughter this
as well.)

Arrena age 25 female white b. SC Sister of H.A.
George age 18 male white b. SC brother of H. A. and My Great
Grandfather.

Anderson age 15 male white b. SC (this is really Andrew Jackson who
joined the 19th AL. Inf. Co. H. died during the civil war)
brother of H.A.

Elizabeth (Sarah Ann) age 12 female white b. SC baby of the bunch,
Sister to H. A.

Does this connect in any way to your bunch??
Gail
