Is Asbery/Asbury a Lincoln County family name?
My grandfather's name is Rufus Asbery Johnson and his father was Lewis
Johnson.
I had not connected my Johnson family to Lincoln County until the last few
mails to this list. The name Ashbery reminded me of Asbury and I thought I
would check into the possibility of them being in Lincoln county. Mainly,
because Rufus married a girl who's grandparents lived in Lincoln County and
moved from the county about 1835, several years.
Any suggestions appreciated, I am at a dead end on this Johnson family.
