Tom: With your Thomas S....Did the S. stand for Stanley? Just wondering.
All and both sides of my dad's family were from Lincoln Co. Dad is Thomas
Stanley McDaniel Jr. and 86 years old. You and I have corresponded before
on our "relations". Just wondering if we may have found a link? Have never
been able to find where the Stanley came from. Yes, my dad's family also
ended up in Houston. First abt 1925 and then abt. 1930 And then they stayed
in Houston. Family history a little "hazy" since my grandparents divorced.
There was ill feelings on both sides. My Lincoln Co. kin were in Tenn. very
early and included McDaniels/ Baggerlys/
McKees/Smith/Mullins/Curbos/Kerbos/Hollicks/Pollicks/Hammers/Hammon/Sullinge
r/Belt and only God knows who else at this time! You would not believe the
brick walls I have encountered!
Sincerely,
Carmen McDaniel Forbes
