Thanks a bunch. Will check this out. This appears to be the time frame they
were in.
Recent document aquired from Limestone ct Archives is the guardianship of
Caroline & Martha Chapman by John Smith. Lists commisioners for the estate of
dec. James Chapman. Refers to wife of John as Mahulda Smith formerly Chapman.
Robt McGuire & Elizabeth Chapman Mc Guire(his wife), Jeremiah Swaner and Sarah
(Chapman), his wife, & Missouri Chapman- heirs to estate. Dated July 1833
Date of final settlement of the estate was Oct 20th 1828. Interest was
awarded the heirs on top of the division.
Jeremiah B Swaner died about the time of this settlement in 1833.
Can't lay my hands on the document at the moment, but it stated that
adminitrator Joel Swaner was acquainted with Sarah Chapman Swaner & that her
parents were James Chapman and Susannah Buchanan.
Minor children of Jeremiah B and Sarah were placed under the guardianship of
Asher Myers until the girls married and the boy came of age.
