I am interested in gathering more information on the family of Barnet
Hamilton Wakefield 1798-1853. A copy of three generations of his descendants

information I have on the family of Mary Ann Wakefield.

It is my understanding that there is another husband, other than those shown
above. I have information that she married George Chappell as Mary A.
Wiseman MAYE in Yell Co., Ark. as late as 1870.

Who was the unknown MAYE and what happened to him? He couldn't have been in
her life very long since Eugene was born in 1867 and she remarried in 1870 to
George Chappell.
Did she divorce him, as she did George Chappell on February 10, 1882?
Why did she divorce George?
For what reason was George in the Federal Penetentiary in Little Rock,
Pulaski, AR, on September 28, 1890?

If you have additional information on this family line, I would appreciate
whatever input I can get.
