This is Jane Smythe Parks, I think we have corresponded before on the Greer
family.
I have a MARY MCKINNEY born around 1824 or 1825 probably in North Carolina,
she married Robert S. Woodard in 1842 . They lived in Lincoln County & were
the parents of 11 children, Milton Wright Woodard their son was my great
grandfather. He married Ida Hatcher their daughter Irene Woodard married
Braxton Bragg Smythe Sr, they were the parents of Braxton Bragg Smythe Jr
who was my father. Braxton Bragg Smythe Sr. was the son of Jane Caroline
Greer & David Radford Smyth.
I don't have anything else on the MCKINNEY family but would like to find out
who MARY MCKINNEY's parents were. The information I have on MARY came from
the GOODSPEED HISTORIES of GILES, LINCOLN, FRANKLIN & MOORE COUNTIES OF
TENNESSEE.
Do you think there is a connection between MARY MCKINNEY WOODARD & your
JOSEPH MCKINNEY?
