Gladys,
This isn't my line, but I think that they are related. The info that you
asked for is......
Obituaries from Tennessee Newspapers
Compiled by Jill L. Garrett, 1980, p. 412
Watkins, William A., born 4 May 1831, died 31 Mardh 1899 at St. Florian,
Lauderdale County, Alabama; son of Robert Watkins, born in Virginia. He
married 4 August 1853, Mary A. (Polly) Grimes, the daughter of George and
Hettie Hough Grimes.
----------
I think that this Robert Watkins was a brother to my ancestor, John Smith
Watkins, also of VA and born approx. five years later than Robert Watkins.
Do you have more info pertaining to these families? I'm just now putting my
info in my FTM.
THANKS for "whatever".
LINDA V.
