does anyone have access to this? Today I ran across the following:
taken from the book Divorces in TN
dyer, Ahasmerus oct 2 1821 Sumner county
Ahasmerus was married in 1809 to Lucretia Bryant. In March 1818 he had to NC
and did not return home (which was in Christian county, KY) until November
1818. He found his wife living in adultery with Elijah Whitney. In April
1819 she had a child and said it was Elijah's Ahasmerus presently lives in
Sumner county, and is informed that his wife lives in Lincoln County.
171-1821
I believe that this Lucretia may be my William dyer's mother... Would like
to see if there is a listing of Lucretia in Lincoln co and if there is an
Elijah Whitney, if so, how close to each other do they live...
thanks
Funny how excited I get whenever I get this close to closing off loose ends.
