Hi Jeanette, I have fretted over this family for years. Seems like it should
be a son of my William White, Rev War soldier born Jan 10, 1755 at Fauquier
Co VA, died May 1833 Lincoln Co TN. I have told all who ask that it is
strange that William's estate could not be settled until a son of his was
old enough to go to court. William White must have had a first wife and
children prob from Fauquier Co VA [Actually called Prince Wm. Co when he was
born 1755, it changed to Fauquier Co in 1759] William's wife in 1814 when
their first child was born was Elizabeth ___. She was 20 years younger than
William and he was age 58 when their first child together, Martha White who
married Samuel C. Miles in LCT was born. None of his sons by Elizabeth were
old enough to settle the estate. William Franklin who was of age was
accompanied by his younger brother, Carr Bailey White who was not old enough
when estate was finally settled.
This Thomas White was born right time to be son by his first marriage but
that would be guess work . None of his children carry the same names over
and over as the other White's did.
I have John James White b 6 Sept 1856 LCT, died 20 June 1924 LCT, married
Eliza Elizabeth Jean b ca 1850.
John was son of Stephen A. White b 1831 TN and Martha A. Jones b ca 1825
LCT.
Stephen A. White was son of
Thomas J. White b 1801 NC and Malinda ___.
I have no idea of who the father is for sure on Thomas. I note his wife was
born in SC. That is a clue as many of Isaac White's sons moved to TN.
especially McMinn, Monroe and Poke Co TN areas. Some lived in GA and then
came to TN later, others came as young men.
Keep me in the loop as I am trying hard to connect my William to parents and
other children.
