I have a brief mention from Lincoln Co TN Court Records obtained for me by
Frances West of Fayetteville several years ago.

The Inventory of the Estate of Samuel White

Surely I have another page in my messy computer room. I have not looked at
these papers in a long time. I have the whole will of his wife;


Will Book 2, Lincoln Co TN
Signed 12th day of April, 1852. She must have been a child bride of Samuel's
to have lived so much longer than he did? Then we are now looking for a
first wife and children of above Samuel White. I saw speculation on genforum
that Lucinda remarried after Sam's death to a Mr.Cobb. It was my impression
that Lucinda had Elizabeth Cobb when she married Samuel White? Am I right on
that issue?

Anyway, I found some information on ancestry.com that I wonder if anyone is
familiar with;

It seems odd to me to have what apparently so many different White families
living in such a small place as Lincoln Co TN was in 1800-1820 era an none
related?
Does anyone know anything about This Thomas White who married Matilda??

Anyone know anything at all about Alexander White Sr whose will was probated
in Lin Co TN in 1814? Sons; Alexander Jr, Robert M. {Macklin??], William and
John White? This family was listed together in many Lin Co TN land sales
with the Paar family and I believe those two families went to Lawrence Co AL
together except for Alexander Jr whom I understand went to Franklin Co TN
after his father's death. There was an Alexander White admitted to the bar
in 1756 in Fauquier Co VA where my William White was born in Jan 1755. I
have no information about my William's parents or siblings to check.

Then Samuel above too

There was also a Carmen White in 1820 census. Anyone know anything about
him? Are there marriages to Bailey families in the other White families of
Lin Co TN ? We need to close ranks to try to figure these various families.
It seems Uriah was born in SC. There were several early White families in
Union Co SC so he would be hard to place there. Ginny K
