Does anyone know more about either of the John Fishers who appear in early
deeds in Bedford County, TN (an area now in Marshall County)? I have
abstracted the key records about him and his land below. If anyone has
researched this Fisher family I would like to exchange data with you.

The deed recorded in Book F, page 156 from John Fisher to Henry Vernon says
"... tract of land granted to John Fisher, deceased..." so it may be from a
son named John Fisher deeding land inherited from his father, also named
John Fisher. The deed in Book E page 320 supports this by talking about
"...part of the estate of John Fisher Sr...". By 1817 it appears that this
John Fisher "Jr." has sold all his land in Bedford County (Bedford County
deed book H, page 31). He is not listed in the 1820 census, so I assume he
has left the county by then.
