I am researching the earliest land history of the Fishers in middle
Tennessee. The locations where some of these Fishers lived eventually
became part of Marshall County (by donation from Bedford and from Maury
counties in 1836 when Marshall County was formed.)

The Records of the Second Surveyor District are contained in Record Group
50 at Tennessee State Library and Archives. This district included early
Bedford County as well as some neighboring areas. I have extracted the
Fisher entries from the index to those records and listed them below. I
will eventually abstract and post the surveys for each of these.

I am especially interested in working out the relationship between
Frederick, John, Charles, and William Fisher who appear in these records
and Michael Fisher. Please contact me if you have information on any of these.
