Paulette, Wondering if you might help locating info on a Robert Benton Ready b-TN Mar 5, 1831 and died Civil War with his wife Mary Lou Hooten. Neither one were in Army. There children were raised by her Father John Hooten 1811-1886, an Church of Christ Preacher and a handicap person. His wife would have been Susan T. // 1814-1862 John and Susie buried Reed Cemetery-Marshall CO., TN. The where abouts of Robert and Mary Lou demise is not known where or when, but thought to be Marshall County, TN. They died sometime between 1861 and 1865 from Civil War actions. I have found Robert in the 1850 census, living with a John Hooten and living District 12-Marshall CO., TN in 1860 census. May have found him in 1840 census living with another Hooten, maybe John Hooten, Dont remember-- Senior's moment!!!!! Robert Benton name has not been found any where in USA for any period of time except his GS--Robert Benton Otha Reedy-1876-1952. Do you have any resources for this Robert(1!
831) He was reported to been a "Bound-Boy". No info in TN has been found on him. His father's name if naming procedures were used by him. Dont have enough info to make this call, However there is a William Ready from the Charles Ready family of Readyville, Cannon, TN. that William's birth would have been abt early 1800's which could be his dad. All info on this William does not exist, but time frame is about right. Have gone through all Reedy Family from the Hans Otto Riedi and found NO connection, yet.
