Due to the many responses for a request of the names of persons interred in
the Old Mars Hill Church Cemetery I will publish to this list archive a name
listing for that Cemetery. I previously had previously requested the name of
the cemetery here and Rick Gray of Maury County was so gracious as to tell me
that information. I will make a list of the names from the photos of the
tombstones and post it to this list as soon as I get that done hopefully in
about three weeks. That is much like transcribing the tombstone on the site but
is much easier as I clean and photo the stone in a way that makes it largely
readable before doing the photography.

I have a list from the book by the Marsh couple and already found stones
that were not listed. That is understandable given that the cows cover and
uncover stones almost at random when they unfortunately trample around in the
cemetery as they do in this one. The stones are sparsly placed and some standing
some on the ground making a transcription very difficult to do with spending
much time.
