Circuit court of McMinn Vo.
Josiah Childers and wife Anne Childers vs. Elizabeth Shelton, widow of John Shelton, dec'd and the heirs William Shelton, Elizabeth Shelton, John Harris & his wife Matilda Jane, and Martha Shelton, by G. W. Mayo, Guardian ad litum} Petition to sell Land in the Circuit Court of McMinn County
It appearing to the satisfaction of the Clerk and Master from the allegations in said petition, which is sworn to, that William Shelton, one of the defendants in said petition is a non-resident of the State of Tennessee-it is therefore ordered that publication be made in the Athens Post, a newspaper published in the town of Athens, for four succesive weeks, calling upon said defendant to plead, answer or demur to said petition, on or before the next term of said Court, to be held at the Court-house in Athens, on the 2nd Monday of April next, or the same will be taken as confessed, as to him, and set for hearing, exparte.
