I am in no way related to the Atchley family, but do have a number of
ancestors from Meigs and Rhea counties, thus my interest in this list. I was
frustrated with a lack of progress on one of my lines the day that your post
hit, so I decided to look into your request. I'm not sure that I found much
but you did say "any help".

In the 1880 census that you found of George W. and Martha M. Atchley, their
son Pryor Lee was 2 years old, therefore born 1878. I didn't find the family
in the 1900 census but did find a Lee Atchley in the 1910 census. It just
might be your person or at least worth investigating. I think he ditched the
name Pryor (I would too) and just used his middle name of Lee. Here's the
record:

Hamilton county is just to the south of Meigs and he could have moved there
and started his family. The following are some other Atchleys from Meigs
County. Probably related somehow, but I didn't take the time to go further.
Notice the name Pryor and Cryor (sp) occuring in these families. They have
to be related, I'll leave the rest up to you.
