Greetings,
On the 1870 census Monroe Co. Tenn District 12 Household #118 is:

RAGSDELL, Theodore age 21 (Also spelled RAGSDALE)
Betsey age 70 (Theodore's mother, wife of Edward
Ragsdale)
Martha age 25 (his sister)
TROTTER, Pollie age 90 (his grandmother?)

I am hoping someone out there can help me clarify this. I have Edward
Ragsdale married to a Betsy (Elizabeth) Trotter. Their son is this Theodore.

Is this Pollie Trotter age 90 living in this household Mary Twoomey who
married Isaac Philip Trotter? I have one daughter of theirs as Elizabeth
Trotter who married William H. Finley and they moved to Georgia. This
Elizabeth Trotter Finley was alive the same time that Elizabeth "Betsey"
Trotter Ragsdale who was living in Monroe Co.

I am trying to determine if these two girls were sisters or does Elizabeth
"Betsey" Trotter belong to other parents?
