Fact: The Sons and Daughters of the Confederacy obtain markers and it takes
a very long time to go through government channels. There is a "Form" to
complete with required documents for both Confederate and Union markers.
Sorry, I do not have that form number. Military documents must be
accompanied for any marker request. Request for military documents,
Confederate and Union are submitted on NATF Form 80 (rev 8-97) mailing
address: National Archives and Records Administration, 7th Pennsylvania Av
N.W., Washington, DC 20408 - Confederate "Pension" records must be requested
from the state in which the solider served. Form NATF 80 rev 8-97)should be
available in most Main libraries. Cost about $6.00.
Patience is required
