TRAIL, JOHN C. "J. C.", 67, of Oliver Springs, died Tuesday, Dec. 25,
2001, at the University of Tennessee Medical Center at Knoxville.
Born Aug. 19, 1934, in Oliver Springs, he was the son of Sam and Maggie
Braden Trail, who are deceased. Mr. Trail was a lifelong resident of
this area. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Oliver Springs and
of the Oliver Springs Lions Club .He retired from South Central Bell in
1986 after 35 years of service.
Mr. Trail is survived by three sisters, Mary R. Phillips and Trudy L.
Francois, both of Oliver Springs, and Pauline Giles of Baker, La.; and
by 10 nieces and nephews and several grandnieces and grandnephews. The
funeral will be held at 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 28, in the chapel of Sharp
Funeral Home in
Oliver Springs. The Rev. Tony Rutherford and the Rev. Charles Parker
will officiate. A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m.
Saturday, Dec. 29, at the Oliver Springs Cemetery. The family will
receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. [The Oak
