CHILCOAT, WOODROW WILSON - age 87, of Oak Ridge,

WALDEN, MR. ELZO "BOB" - age 66, of Fort Myers, Florida, formerly of
LaFollette,

CHILCOAT, WOODROW WILSON - age 87, of Oak Ridge, passed away Saturday June
15, 2002 at Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge. Mr. Chilcoat was a member
of the Glenwood Baptist Church. He served in the Navy as a Fireman First
Class in WW II. Born December 8, 1914 in Winston County, Alabama to the late
Charles Walter and Ella Lovina Radford Chilcoat. He worked as a foreman
machinist with Union Carbide for 27 years. He was a resident of Oak Ridge for
52 years. Mr. Chilcoat is survived by his wife of 56 years, Mary Lou Seymour
Chilcoat of Oak Ridge; sons, Terry Seymour Chilcoat and wife, Judy of Norris,
Woody L. Chilcoat and wife, Sharon of Roanoke, Va., Charles M. Chilcoat and
wife, Yvonne of Medford, Ore.; two grandchildren, Shannon M. Chilcoat of Oak
Ridge and Geoffery Chilcoat of Jonesboro, Ga. Funeral services will be held
Tuesday June 18, 2002 at 7:30 p.m. at Glenwood Baptist Church. Interment will
be Wednesday 10 a.m. at Woodhaven Memorial Gardens in Claxton. The family
will receive friends from 6:30-7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the church prior to the
service. Martin Oak Ridge Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

GARCIA, ENGRACIA "GRACE" TORREGOSA - age 63, of Oak Ridge, died Saturday,
June 15, 2002, at St. Mary's Residential Hospice in Knoxville, Tenn. She was
a loving wife, mother of 4, and grandmother of 6. She was born April 16,
1939, in Tarlac, Tarlac Philippines, the first born daughter of Pelilia and
Saturnino Torregosa. Saturnino is deceased. She was educated at the
University of Santo Thomas at Manila in the Philippines, and received a
Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 1960. Grace was wed to Dr. Romulo G. Garcia
in 1965, and has been happily married for the last 36 years. Grace immigrated
to the United States in 1969, with her husband and three children, Roel,
Imelda, and Zerlina. Her youngest son, Ronald, was born in Oak Ridge, Tenn.
Mrs. Garcia worked for 40 years as a Registered Nurse. She worked at Tarlac
Province Hospital in the Philippines, Lutheran Deaconess Hospital in Chicago,
Ill., St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester, Minn., Jewish Hospital in Cincinnati,
Ohio, Mayfield Hospital in Mayfield, Ky., and the last 30 years at Methodist
Medical Center of Oak Ridge, Tenn. She was a devout Catholic at St. Mary's
Church, and was active in Cursillo in the Philippines, and Marriage Encounter
in Tennessee. She was also an active member of the Philippine- American
Association of East Tennessee and Tennessee Nursing Association. She is
survived by her husband, Dr. Romulo G. Garcia; two daughters, Imelda G.
Margulies and her husband, Aaron of Tracy, California, and Zerlina G. Waldrop
and her husband, James of Lenoir City; two sons, Roel T. Garcia of Oak Ridge
and Ronald T. Garcia of Oak Ridge; her mother, Pelilia Torregosa of Clement,
N.J.; five brothers, Vicente Torregosa of Gadsden, Ala., Jesus Torregosa of
Houston, Texas, Nestor Torregosa of Houston, Texas, Potenciano Torregosa of
Clementon, N.J., and Saturnino Torregosa, Jr., of Clementon, N.J.; three
sisters, Eleanor T. Tiongson of Media, Penn., Milagros T. Bautista of
Phoenix, Ariz., and Magdalena T. Garcia of Cary, N.C.; six grandchildren,
Danielle Waldrop, Gabrel Waldrop, Preston Waldrop, Mackenzie Garcia, Rachel
Margulies and Benjamin Margulies, and many nieces and nephews. Also survived
by three brother-in-laws, Jose Garcia of Batesville, Ind., Manuel Garcia of
Hernando, Fla., and Alejo Garcia of Cary, N.C. Preceded in death by
sister-in-law, Thelma Manauis of the Philippines. The funeral will be held at
10:30 a.m. Thursday, June 20, 2002, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Oak
Ridge with the Rev. Michael Woods officiating. Burial will follow at Oak
Ridge Memorial Park. The family requests, any memorials be in the form of
donations to St. Mary's Residential Hospice, 7447 Andersonville Pike,
Knoxville, TN 37938. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m.,
Wednesday, June 19, 2002, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Oak Ridge.

WALDEN, MR. ELZO "BOB" - age 66, of Fort Myers, Florida, formerly of
LaFollette, passed away Thursday, June 13, 2002. He was Preceded in death by
his parents, Oscar and Florence Walden. He was a member of the Broadway
Church of God in Fort Myers, and a Veteran of the U. S. Army. Survivors:
wife, Mrs. Doris Daniels Walden of Fort Myers, Florida; son, Justin Walden of
LaFollette; sisters, Hazel Justice, Elva Petree and Elnoria Wells, all of
LaFollette, and Delora Kirkpatrick of Michigan; brothers, Alonzo Walden of
Hinesville, Georgia, and Ruben Walden of Fort Myers, Florida, and several
nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Funeral services
Tuesday, 8 p.m. at LaFollette Church of God with Rev. Charles (Chuck) Smith
and Rev. Robert (Bobby) Walden officiating. Interment Wednesday, 10 a.m., at
Peabody Cemetery with military honors conducted by the Campbelll County Honor
Guard. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday before
services at LaFollette Church of God. Walters Funeral Home, LaFollette, in
charge of arrangements.
