CARMACK, JODI LYNN HODGE OSBORNE - 37, of Clinton, passed away July 11, 2002.
Survived by children, Leslie New and Matthew Osborne; parents, Ed and Alice
Hodge; sisters, Michelle and Elizabeth (Boo) of Wichita, Kansas; and
grandmother, Ruby Coffey of Blaine. Arrangements are incomplete. Smith
Funeral Home in charge.

GAYLOR, EMMA JEAN - age 75 of Oak Ridge, passed away Saturday July 13, 2002
at NHC. She is the wife of Ben W. Gaylor. Family will receive friends Monday
6-8 p.m. at Martin Oak Ridge Funeral Home with funeral service at 8 p.m. in
the chapel. Graveside service Tuesday 11 a.m. at Oak Ridge Memorial Park.

OOTEN, OLA - age 94 of Morgan Co., formerly of Roane Co., passed away Friday,
July 12, 2002 at the home of her daughter in Doulasville, Ga. Ola was a
former member of Sunbright Baptist Church. She is survived by her daughter,
Alvena Stone and husband, Fielden, of Douglasville, Ga.; son, Lee H. Ooten
and wife, Sarah of Wagner, SC; 6 grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren;
sister, Frances Halpen of San Jose, Calif.; several nieces and nephews. The
family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m. Monday followed by funeral services
at 2 p.m. in the Click Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Eddie Click officiating.
The family will proceed to the Mars Hill Cemetery in Kingston for graveside

STEPHENSON, LILLIAM P. "MOMMA BEAR" - age 87, passed away Saturday, July 13,
2002 at the Windwood Health Care Center. She was a member of Pleasant Hill
Baptist Church in Dutch Valley where she had been a former Sunday school
teacher. She was a former bookkeeper for Portwood Cleaner, Hoskins Drug
Store, Cinderella Beauty Shop and Queener Flower Shop and in later years, she
worked as bookkeeper for her two sons at Stephenson Reality & Auction and
Blind Ambitions. She was a 1932 graduate of Greenville Business College in
Greenville, South Carolina. Preceded in death by husband, Garven R. Stephens;
parents, William & Lula Ramsey Peay; sisters, Betty Ray, Connie Roddy & Hazel
Peay. Momma Bear was born August 3, 1914 in Chester County, South Carolina.
Survivors: sons, William "Bear" Stephenson of Clinton, Warren Stephenson of
Clinton; sister, Pauline Cooper of Chester, SC; brother, Bobby H. Clack &
wife, Betty Faye of Oak Ridge; several nieces & nephews. The family will
receive friends 6-8 p.m. Monday July 22, 2002 at Holley-Gamble Funeral Home
in Clinton. Funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday at Pleasant Hill
Baptist Church with Rev. David Hanes officiating. The body will lie in state
one hour prior to the service at the church. interment will follow the
service at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. Memorials may be made to
Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, 510 Old Dutch Valley Road, Clinton, Tenn.
