I am going to try to answer your e-mails in this one.

1st. Vera Fisk, if I am not mistaken, I saw her name as county historian or
something to do with genealogy.....I sent her a couple of e-mails and never
got a
response. How can I contact her and will she share the information she has
on the
Gunter family? Again - thank you very much.

I have also seen the name Steve Mathis connected with the Gunter Family. I
have
sent him e-mails requesting info and/or whatever, but I never heard from him
either.
I have no idea who he is and where he fits into the puzzle.

2. Which part of the tree do I belong...."hanging by a thread..." (haha).
I'll try to
answer this one and the following together.

Ok - my father was Floyd Arnold Gunter - married Louise Moore
My grandfather was William Harvey Gunter - married Alice Smith West
My great-grandfather was Pleasant Calvin Houston Gunter - married Mary
Elizabeth
Hodges....

That's all I know. My father had about 9 siblings - their names, birthdates,
children
I have this data - but I don't have any of the past history.

My father was a school teacher and minister..we moved a lot and l lost
contact with
relatives. My father never talked about ancestors and I never knew anything
about
his family. My mother talked about her family and I have a lot of
information on the
Moore/Freels family. Plus, a relative, Virgil Freels, has done a fantastic
job on his
website re the family.

Anything I can share with you, I will be glad to do so. Anything you can
send my
way please do.

Where can I get the book by John Holloway? I remember hearing his name a lot
from my parents.
