ALLMON, VERA JUNE - age 77, of Piedmont, SC, passed away on Thursday,
September 11, 2008. Born in Knoxville, Vera was the daughter of the late
Martin M. and Alma Minnich Harbison. Vera was a billing clerk for Roadway
Express and retired after 25 years of dedicated service. She was also a
member of Second United Methodist Church, Knoxville. Surviving are her sons
Byron Wallace of Greer, SC, and Michael Wallace, Sr. and his wife Shirley
Ann of Pelzer, SC; grandchildren, Michael Wallace, Jr., Robin Bagwell and
Andrea Pilgrim; and 7 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends
Tuesday, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Lynnhurst-Greenwood Chapel. Funeral

BAILEY, DORA MARIE - age 80 of Black Fox, Washburn, TN, went to be with the
Lord September 15, 2008. Dora was a member of Pennington Chapel Baptist
Church. Preceded in death by: parents, Willie and Nellie Nicley; brothers,
Ralph, and Paul Nicley; sister Faustine Bailey. Survived by: husband of 62
years, James Earl Bailey; Dora has four children, Robert and wife Francis
Bailey, Frank and wife Sue Bailey, Margaret and husband Darrell Ailor, Floyd
and wife Teresa Bailey; she also has 12 grandchildren; 17 great
grandchildren; several sisters and brothers; several nieces and nephews.

BROCK, MARY LEE (SUGAR) - age 65, of Knoxville, passed away Monday,
afternoon at Brakebill Nursing Home. She was of the Baptist Faith. She is
preceded in death by her parents Millard and Oma Mae Brock. Survived by her
aunts Saddie Parker, and Ethel Douglas; nieces Betty Kirby, Tiny Case, and
Debbie Zehner; several great nieces and nephews. Family and friends will
meet at Gentry-Griffey Chapel at 2:15 pm Thursday and go in procession to
New Gray Cemetery for a 3:00 pm graveside service Rev. Dale Ellenburg

BROOKS, ROBERT TARVIN JR. - age 54, fell asleep in death Sept 13, 2003 after
a lengthy illness. He was a loving husband, brother, father and grandfather
as well as a good friend to many. He was a dedicated member of Halls
congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses, a retired employee of TVA Forestry
Dept. in Norris and an avid UT Vols fan. He is preceded in death by parents,
Dr. Robert Brooks and Beverly Brooks, sister Rebecca Brooks and
mother-in-law Dolores Campbell. He is survived by his wife of 35 years,
Martina; daughter and son-in law Melanie and George Beckmann, of Knoxville;
son and daughter-in-law Robert and Jennifer Brooks, of Kingston;
grandchildren Ryland, Kennedy, Britain and baby Beckmann; sister Ramona
Patterson and husband Gary; brothers Richard Brooks and wife Pam, Ronald
Brooks and wife Sheri; father-in-law Martin Campbell and wife Frances;
sister-in-law Debbie Hutson and husband Shug; brother-in-law James Campbell
and wife Janet; nieces and nephews Tara, Rachel, Michelle, Kathryn, Leah,
Murph, Timothy, Alex, Andrew and Donovan; extended family and many dear
friends. Memorial service will be Friday, Sept. 19, 7:30 pm, Kingdom Hall of
Jehovah's Witnesses, 4639 Emory Road in Halls with receiving friends
immediately following. Graveside service will be Sat., Sept 20, 9:30 am,
Greenwood Cemetery. Tom Brewer and Gene Vandergriff will be officiating. A

CLARKSON, ROBERT STEVEN - age 57 of Lenoir City, passed away suddenly,
Sunday September 14, 2008. Steve was a plumber and a Vietnam War Veteran
serving in the United States Army. Preceded in death by his father, Guy
Clarkson and his step-father, Roy Honacher. He is survived by his wife,
Teresa Clarkson; daughter, Tracy Clarkson; son, Steven Clarkson and his
mother, Pat Honacher all of Lenoir City; several aunts and uncles also
survive. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Click
Funeral Home in Lenoir City. Family and friends will gather at 2 p.m.
Wednesday in the Loudon County Memorial Gardens for graveside services and

CLEMMER, DENNIS RICHARD, SR. - age 61 of Knoxville, passed away Saturday,
September 13, 2008 at home. He was of the Baptist faith. He was a U. S.
Marine Corps veteran who served in Vietnam and received the Purple Heart. He
was a member of Moose Lodge #1560. Preceded in death by son, Dennis Richard
Clemmer, Jr.; grandmother, Mary Katherine Rice. Survived by wife, Donise

COLLINS, ARON ROBERT - age 21 of Maynardville passed away Monday, September
15, 2008 at his home. Member of New Testament Baptist Church. Preceded in
death by brother, Joshua Allen Collins; and grandparents, Wanda and Farrell
Fisher, and Joyce Rubdie. Survived by parents, David and Tammy Collins;
brother, David Collins and wife B.J.; sister, Moriah Collins; nephew, Dalton

September 14, 2008 at St. Mary's Medical Center in Knoxville. Buddy was born
September 14, 1940 in Sharps Chapel TN. He was a member of Washington Pike
Baptist Church, Knoxville, TN. Preceded in death by: parents, Milton C.
Cooke, Sr. and Vestie McBee Cooke; brothers, Roy and Ora Cooke; sisters,

LAWS, DANIEL SCOTT - of Harriman, born September 15, 1964 went home to be
with his Lord and Savior on September 14, 2008. Daniel was active in the
Optimist Club Baseball and was a member of Cedar Grove Baptist Church. He
was preceded in death by his father Theodore Lee Laws II. Survivors include:
mother Edna S. Laws; sons Jacob and Joshua Laws; sister Leighanne Lee;
brother Randall Laws; nieces and nephews Sean Lee, Nikki Reynolds, Nathan
Jago, R.A., Jessica and Melissa Laws; great nieces and nephews Aaron and

MAUER, JOHN CRAIG - age 80, of Knoxville, died Sunday evening September 14,
2008. He was a longtime member of Sacred Heart Cathedral. A 1952 graduate of
the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, he also attended Commander and
General Staff College. He spent 20 years enlisted in the Army, during which
he was Deputy Director of the Tropical Test Center in Panama, served with
the 1st Calvary Division in Korea, and Assistant Military Attach´┐Ż in Laos.
He retired as Lieutenant Colonel in 1972. In Knoxville he served as the
first president of State Technical College and for many years after it
became Pellissippi State, he served as a professor. He was also a member of
the Knoxville Optimist Club. He was preceded in death by his parents, Coach
John William and Grace Lucille Bapst Mauer; wife, Joanne Kennell Mauer; and
son, Michael Mauer. His survivors include his daughter and son-in-law,
Marianne and Fred Freitag; son & daughter-in-law, Craig and Jacqueline Mauer
; daughter-in-law, Gail Mauer all of Knoxville; grandchildren, Nicolas and
Allison Freitag, Conor, Shawn, and Marshall Mauer; brother and
sister-in-law, Ronald J. and Sue Mauer of Knoxville; as well as nieces and
nephews. Funeral Mass 10:00 A.M. Thursday at Sacred Heart Cathedral with
Father Al Humbrecht officiating. Interment will follow at Tennessee Veterans
Cemetery with military honors by the Volunteer State Veterans Honor Guard.

Foust Harrell; mother in law Faye D. Wilson; brother in law, Scotty Dabney.

September 14, 2008 at the Baptist Health Care Center in Lenoir City. She was
born May 11, 1920. Ruby was a member of Sixth Ave. Church of God and retired
from Eaton Yale and Towne in 1981. Preceded in death by her husband, James
D. Wheat; son, James Ray Wheat; daughters, Dortha Sue Sheffield and husband,
Lester R. Sheffield, and Jo Ann Stamey and husband, Terry Stamey; grandson,
Dale R. Sheffield; parents, Charles Ray Tuck and Verla May Crisp Tuck;

YARBER, CANDI TYWANNA (JACKSON) - age 39 went home to be with the Lord on
Saturday September 13, 2008. She will be greeted in Heaven by her infant son
Jimmy & her father Robert. Survived by loving husband James (Eddie) & her

constantly by her side through her extended illness. Also left to cherish
