Thomas K THOMPSON and Priscilla LOONEY came to Rhea Co. about 1808.
Daughter, Jane b 1816 m. Henry MCCARY in 1834 and migrated to
Barry Co., Mo. in 1837.
Son, Stephen m. Elizabeth PETERSON in 1837 and also went to Barry Co.
MO.
Most other members of this family remained in Rhea Co.

Jesse THOMPSON, nephew to Thomas K. and Jean Looney, sister to
Priscilla,
m. 1808 in Hawkins Co. TN and settled in Rhea Co.
Son, Absalom L. Thompson m. Susanna Elizabeth WEST in 1834 and
migrated to Barry Co. Mo.
Other members of this family remained in Rhea Co.

Josiah McCary, brother of Henry, m. Mary HUBBERT, daughter of
Matthew
Hubbert who's family relocated to Barry Co. Mo. Josiah was a
minister
and moved on to various churches in Missouri.

Lindsey McCary, brother of Henry, m. Polly PETERS 1837 and migrated
to Barry Co. Mo.

Unrelated to above:
Labon STEWART m. Nancy WELLS 1823 at Rhea Co. The Wells were from
Roane
County. After participating in the removal of Cherokees, 1838 in
Alabama, Labon
located in Barry Co. in 1845. He and brother-in-law, Andrew Jackson
Wells,
applied for land based on their northern Alabama service.
Searching Labon because he is thought to be half brother of my
ancestor,
Sampson B Looney.
