Subject: [TNRUTHER] Name a cemetery??
Date: Wed, 05 Mar 2003 14:59:18 -0600

OK, I got back from Virginia, and couldn't help but run right out and try
to find another cemetery here in Rutherford County!! So I looked in this book
I got(which I will recommend later here), and went looking for one quite close to
my home, which I previously did not know about. And I found it!
Here is the question:
There are about 11(probably more unmarked) graves, with several surnames.
So how should I name this unknown? I have come up with several ideas-
the surname of the first burial
the most common surname
or the small lane it was found on

Any suggestions??

And the book I found it in was this:
TENNESSEE COUNTY MAPS, Thomas Publications.
It has black and white maps of each county, alphabetically.
AND it marks cemeteries on the maps! Now, it does not mark ALL known
cemeteries, but I have noted several that I was not aware of! And like I said,
my first attempt to find one of these was successful!
Great book! I got it at Davis-Kidd in Green Hills(Nashville), for $22.95,
but it was well worth it!
