All Scott County rooters;

I'm finally, finally, finally back -- after a month of torture. Some of you may
know the Scott Co site was moved from the www.tngenweb.org server to a new
server called www.tngennet.org around Thanksgiving. The movers assured me it
would only be a couple of days in the making. In the mean time I had prepared a
massive update to the site. Needless to say I was frustrated when I found out I
couldn't load the update until the site was moved. Well, a couple days turned
into a week, a week turned into a couple weeks, a couple weeks turned into three
weeks. Okay, at last I can make the big update.

On the evening of 14 Dec I got the passwords I needed to upload the changes. On
the morning of 15 Dec someone spilled coffee all over my keyboard--that person
shall remain nameless but at last check I was still married to her. So I spent
a day disassembling the keyboard, cleaning it out, drying it, and putting it
back together--BUT ALL FOR NAUGHT! It still wouldn't work. I had to get a new
one.

I ordered a new one on 15 Dec. They assured me it would be here in 2 and at
most 3 days. Frustrating but what are you gonna due. Two days turned into 3, 3
turned into a week. Today it finally showed up after nine days. As you can
see, it works wonderfully!

Now we run into this capitalist, Christian, pagan thing called Christmas.
(Please no flames, just trying to be cute.) I need to be with my family so
ya'll are jist gonna hav'to wait a lil bit longer.

I promise I'll answer the ton of email that's been sent asking various Scott Co
questions. I'll get the update loaded (while it will say it is the Dec 99
update it is really the Nov 99 update. There isn't gonna be a Dec 99 update.
Confused?) I've got to work on posting the queries--there must a million of
them. I can finally do that now that I've got a keyboard. Don't you guys have
anything better to do than ask about dead people? {grin} I can get back to work
on the new West Union Association book a couple of us are preparing. I can stop
beating my wife with the old keyboard (just kidding! though the thought did
cross my mind once or twice, or was that several dozen times (just kidding
dear!)).

Oh yea, and one final thing. I hope each and every one of you have a Merry
Christmas, a Happy Hanaka, a great Kwanza, a fantastic ....
