I lived with my grandparents growing up and when things were tight Gran would take bologna and make gravy instead of sausage. It was on one of these mornings that I remember a family discussion on ancestors that I was told that Grans grandfather was in the Rebellion meaning the Civil War. That mornings breakfast led my cousin and I, years later, to the discovery of a pension file.
