Yes, her parents were James W. Lay and Polly Adkins. Polly died around 1895 or
1896 and James remarried to Rosa Silcox.
Polly Adkins was the daughter of Henry Adkins, son of John Stanton Adkins.
fortunately Sue Terhune and others helped me with James and Polly's children. So
I'm trying to find the family of Marcella lay and Alex Byrd. They had a son Floyd
Byrd buried in Adkins Cemetery. I have Floyd's Social Security information and it
confirms that he is the son of Marcella and Alex Byrd.

Marcella lived in Pioneer, TN and is buried in Adkins Cemetery, according to the
Cooper Funeral Home Records Vol. I. Her husband is listed as Alex Byrd.
