ARMES, MISS BILLIE D. - age 60, of Kingston, passed away Monday, July 9,
2001, in Roane Medical Center, Harriman. She was of the Baptist faith, and
attended Oliver Springs High School. Preceded in death by parents, William
Ramsey (Red) and Ruby Colston Armes. Survived by sister, Shelby Jean Armes
Peavyhouse of Spring City; nieces, Myra K. Peavyhouse of Spring City, and
Karen P. Lingar and husband Steve of Madison, Alabama; great niece, Lauren
Miranda Lingar of Madison, Alabama; aunt and uncle, Evelyn and Carl Colston
of Snellville, Georgia, and several cousins. Graveside services and interment
will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. in the Roane Memorial Gardens with Rev. Carl
Armes officiating. The family will receive friends Thursday from 12 Noon -
1:45 p.m. at Evans Mortuary. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the
American Cancer Society or your favorite charity. Evans Mortuary, of
Rockwood, is serving the family of Miss Billie D. Armes.
