COX, ELOISE - age 82, a resident of Oliver Springs, passed away Saturday,
July 14, 2001 at the Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge. Mrs. Cox was
preceded in death by her parents, Thomas Johnny Carson and Ona McGlothin
Carson; by her husband, James Carl Cox, by three sisters, Johnnie Mae Carson,
Katherine Hall, Hazel Coker; by two brothers, Jack Carson and Joe Carson.
Survivors: children, Wanda Walls and husband, Royce of Oliver Springs, Johnny
Cox of Coalfield, Tenn., Jerry Cox and wife, Marcia of Canton, Ga.;
grandchildren, John Cox, Jeff Cox, Greg Walls, Jimmy Atkins, Carson Cox, Kate
Cox, Beth Cox; great grandchildren, Curtis Atkins, Logan Atkins, Mackenzie
Cox, Brooklyn Cox, Walt Cox, Kari Mae Cox. Mrs. Cox was born January 8, 1919
in Morgan County. She is a lifelong resident of this area. Mrs. Cox was a
member of Beech Park Baptist Church. Her hobbies included traveling and
cooking. Funeral services will be held Sunday July 15, 2001 at 8:30 p.m. in
the Chapel of Sharp Funeral Home with the Rev. George Williams officiating.
Friends may call Sunday July 15, between the hours of 6:30 and 8:30 p.m. at
the funeral home. Burial and graveside services will be held Monday July 16,
2001 at 11 a.m. at Anderson Memorial Gardens. Sharp Funeral Home is in charge
of arrangements.
